Mindfulness group inspired by Plum Village tradition
We are a small, friendly group of people from different backgrounds. Inspired by the Plum Village mindfulness tradition and the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, we come together to practise mindfulness and meditation. Whether you are new to mindfulness or have practised for years, everyone is welcome to join us. If you are looking for peace and joy, you are warmly invited to practise with us.
We meet regularly in person to practise sitting. Our sessions include guided meditations, readings, and time for sharing and reflection. During the summer, we occasionally have a walking meditation session in nature. You don’t need any previous experience—just a willingness to be present and practise together in a spirit of harmony.
We meet every Friday at 7:30 pm at the Kelswick Centre in Ambleside. Limited parking places are available. If you can, please bring your own meditation cushion. There are one or two spare meditation cushions available as well as the option of sitting on a chair.
There is no charge to attend, but a voluntary donation to help cover room hire is appreciated. After our session, we invite you to stay for tea and biscuits.
